Home Security With Camera for Home Safety, Kids Safety and Family Watch

Most parents really would prefer to be at home when the kids are coming home after school. However, that just is not always possible. Work, lessons, and distance often makes it impossible to be in the home at all times when children are present. There may be a nanny, housekeeper or babysitter available, but parents sometimes want to see for themselves what is going on in the household when they aren’t around to supervise. It may be that the youngsters need to know that mom or dad will be checking on them to make sure they make it home on time, or that they are completing chores that are needed.

Having a home security system with a camera means that no one can be in the house when they are not supposed to be present. This can include those who are present to try to burglarize the home or the parents may not want children from other families in the house when there is no adult supervision. Conversely, there is the whole issue of the quality of the child care being provided by paid employees in the home. The housekeeper or nanny may not be paying enough attention to the needs of a very young child. They may be overly forceful in their punishment or discipline of the child, sometimes even to the point of injury. With a home security camera, the parent can check in visually several times during the day, or as often as they want so that they can check on the child and the caregiver unobtrusively and confirm that everything is okay at home, or intervene if necessary to protect the child.

A similar situation occurs in a home when there are pets such as a dog or cat that stay alone in the house while you are out working or on a recreational break. A recording device played for them while you are out, or a camera recording of what they are getting into. This is not to say that the dog and or cat are misbehaving, it’s just that many refuse to obey your commands if you are not there to enforce them. Having camera surveillance of your pets can be a way to protect them if they are venturing into situations that could be harmful or fatal to them.

If there are elderly family members who live in the home, or even in another residence, a home security camera is ideal for monitoring their well being. Help can be sent in the event of an incapacitating illness or when there is a fall.

Of course, an obvious reason for setting up a home security system with a camera is to prevent unwanted intruders into your home. In many cases, the alarm alone will be enough to scare off the intruder, but a camera, alarm and tie in to a response unit will be a great way to prevent loss from theft to your possessions. Alarm systems for home security usually include notification of inhabitants for fire, smoke and noxious gases as well as intruders.

      I remember when I was in second grade (in the stone age) and Officer Friendly came into the classroom and taught us about safety. Your local municipal or country police are very good about teaching kids about safety.

      I don’t quite remember the games, but the officer had kids acting out scenarios and then he elicited responses from the classroom.

      Also, it is important that youngsters are not afraid of police officers and should always feel comfortable about seeking their assistance.

    With children services how long could it take to void the safety plan so my kids can come home?
    My case worker finnally got all the paper work that proved everything reported was a lie so her supervisor friday had her do the paper work to void safety plan. monday she gave her supervisor the paper work to sign and have director to sign. she told me it would just be a day or two but as you see its already been that and I havent heard anything. How much longer could it take? btw it was a voluntary safety plan so I never lost custody. there was no trial. Its already been 5 wks. They have aloud me to see my kids everyday til 10 pm

    Home safety for my kid – Avoid Tripping over balcony?
    I am worried about my kid tripping over the balcony on the 2nd floor of our new home. The balcony is on the second floor of our house and you can see the living room downstairs when you see over it. He is about 7 years old and sometimes tries to watch downstairs through the balcony and I am extremely afraid that he may trip over it and fall down.     The balcony is of normal height i.e. about 4 ft. But the problem is that my kid, who is about the same height tries to jump and hold his elbows over the balcony edge and tries to look down. I hope this will give you guys an idea.

      The balcony should have a railing, high enough so that he could not trip and fall over. You might call your building department and ask them how high it is supposed to be in your building code. There will be also a rule about the distance between upright members

    Should I keep shoes on my kids at home during the day?
    My mother and friend think it’s a good idea for safety and so they will already be ready if we need to leave the house or go outside. They also think it will get them use to having them on so they don’t fight it later on. My kids are 2 and 4 years old.

      I don’t think it matters either way as long as the shoes fit right and don’t get in the way of their feet growing.

      My sis kept my nephew in shoes all his life, even as a baby, but when he was like 3-4, he would come here to “no shoes land” and he would totally freak out if I took his shoes off.

      My mom let me run around bare footed and now I hate socks and only wear shoes to go out.

      Going without shoes will toughen the feet so they’re not hurt as bad when they do step on something, wearing shoes keeps the feet soft and more vulnerable to pain if they step on something.

      It’s really your call.

Remember that terrible dream you had when something terrible happened to your baby or child? You woke up feeling scared, worried, and perhaps, sad?

Well you are not alone. Every parent, and I should say person has had nightmares where something bad happened to their kid. You felt all better when you realized it was just a dream didn’t you?

Well, sadly for some parents, the reality is all too real.

Children get abducted or kidnapped, and for some parents the child is never to be seen or heard from again.
This doesn’t have to happen to you. YOU are the childs FIRST line of defense. Read the following advice and you can educate your children to be smart, and tough in case of an emergency.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Make sure your children are ready to care for
themselves

Teach them basic safety rules
Know where your kids are, what they are doing,
and who they are with.

ARE THEY READY?

1. Be trusted to go straight home after school? Teach them to NEVER get into a car with a stranger even if that person claims they know you and are supposed to take them to you.

2. Make sure they can use the phone, and cell phone. In one article I read a 16 year old text her mom for help when burglars broke in.

There may be times your kids have to be home alone and thats where you come in.

they don’t know well (and you approve of) Also, to remember a basic description of the person and vehicle so that when you report it to police, they can alert the media what to be careful of.

5. How to use the door, windows, locks, and the
alarm system if you have one.

6. To NEVER let someone into your home without
your permission

7. To never let a caller at the door or on phone
know they are home-alone.

8. To carry a house key with them in a safe place
(inside a shirt pocket or sock)a€”do not leave it
under a mat or on a ledge.

9. How to escape in case of a fire

10. To NOT enter the house or apartment if things
do not look righta€”a broken window, a ripped
screen, or open door, or things looks all like it
was ransacked.

11. To let you know about anything that frightens
them or makes them feel uncomfortable.

      you have a 2007 and there’s no safety locks? That’s odd. We have 02 and 03 vehicles and ours have locks. I would not alter it in any way yourself. Instead, contact the dealership.

    How does one remove the child-safety lock of a ps2?
    My was uncle given a ps2 by his neighbors, who were moving at the time. It works fine, but the problem is that some type of safety code was placed for movies rated R and video games that are M. Well, we have no clue what the password is, and since his neighbors moved we can’t ask them. So is there any way to remove this safety lock?

      1. Insert a DVD Movie into the PlayStation®2.
      2. You should receive a message informing you that the Parental Level has been set, and asking if youý”d like to allow the disc to play. Highlight “Yes” and then press the X button.
      3. A new window will appear asking you to temporarily change the Parental Control to a different level. Again, highlight “Yes”, and then press the X button.
      4. Another window will appear asking you to enter your Password. Above that window are numbers (0-9).
      5. Do not enter your password, but instead, press the select button on your Controller. This will change the text in the window from “Enter Password” to “Delete Password”.
      6. Using the numbers above the window, input 7444. If successful, you will receive a message stating “Deletion Complete”.
      7. Press Select. You will now be asked to register a new password. Please select a four-digit code of your choosing.
      8. You will be asked to confirm your password selection by inputting the same code once again. If successful, you will receive a message stating “Registration Confirmed”.

    Courtesy car child safety lock broken so 20 months son opened door and scratched who has to pay?
    Who is to blame for scratch, double checked child locks are they are definately not working lights go on (as though they are) but you can still opened all doors. My 20 month old son opened door and it hit lamp post when turning corner and got a slight dent and scratch, will I have to pay even though they should really have these safety features working.

    This is a brand new micra given to me by insurance as my car was stolen and getting fixed.

      I just sold mine to a man from Milwaukee. Did you buy yours near Philadelphia very recently?

      The child safety lock is just a button by the window switches. Push the button to disengage the child lock. It may or may not illuminate when it is engaged (I forget).

      The links inside the door are jammed together. If you can, spray some wd-40 in as far as you can to try to loosen it up. If that doesn’t work someone will have to take the door panel off and find the bind.

      open the rear doors and look by the latch there will be a little switch w a pic of a lock slide it the other way and you should be a set if not go to a shop and ask, most shops will take care of that for free if they are good people.

What is a security blanket? A security blanket is a familiar item, often a blanket, that provides comfort. You probably had a security blanket as a baby or child. You might have brought it around with you wherever you went, gave it a strange name because you couldn’t pronounce blanket, and used it so much it got nearly worn out.

Should kids have a security blanket? Sometimes when we think of security blankets and whether or not they will benefit a child we think of how hard it is for kids to give up their security blanket. I remember when my sister had a security blanket. She carried it around with her wherever she went. It soon became very worn out and my parents were afraid she had become too attached to it and wanted to clean it and put it away before it got so worn that she couldn’t use it anymore.

My mom even made her a new one, but it wasn’t the same and it didn’t catch on. Eventually I think they took it away and she lived. They gave it back to her years later and it was a nice memory for her.

A security blanket can mean a lot to a child. It is called a security blanket because it makes the child feel secure and safe. Stuffed animals can also act as security objects. For some, the blanket may remind them of their mother. When they don’t have their mother around, the blanket reminds them of her and they feel safer.

Is it okay to have a security blanket? Some studies have show that kids that have security blankets are often less attached to their mothers and cope better with anxiety situations. It seems to help them adjust to independence better. It is important for us to have a good relationship with our mothers, as well as our children, but everyone needs some independence. If a child can’t live without their mother as a baby, how will they cope as they grow up? How will they cope with life when they are adults?

Whether a child uses a security blanket or stuffed animal or has a strong attachment to their mother may affect how they deal with independence, or it may not. What’s most important is that they have a healthy relationship with their parents and those around them and are able to be independent.

      Most kids are the ones that find a security “blanket”. You giving her one isn’t exactly the right thing to do. If she’s an infant, you can rotate a shirt with your scent on it every couple of days so she smells you. Outside of that, my “security blanket” growing up was rubbing my ears lol. That’s what got me to rack out and calm down.

(flask unsuitable as it remains hot) did anyone use bottled water?

      You can either take the baby milk ready made up to serve (in which case you must be prepared to drink some of it in front of the security staff). Alternatively, take the powder without any problems.

      You cannot take the cooled bolied water, but you can buy bottled water in the departure lounge once you are through security. Also, the cabin crew can supply you with high quality water.

      “Protect” Social Security? It has already been spent on ObamaCare. They will raise taxes but even if they confiscated all income it’s not enough to pay out the benefits. This is why Ponzi schemes are illegal in the private sector. The country is bankrupt and insolvent.

      I haven’t used Excel in awhile, but I know the book explained it really well. Couple of links for you below.

      I actually did import this list once by pasting it into a .txt file. Then you can import it using the Wizard. However, I think they now have it in .pdf and I think you need to export the .pdf as txt first and then import the new .txt file.

Baby Car Seat Safety – Your Must Know Guide

It is very important to use the correct type of baby seat when you have an infant on board. Most people do not know how to install a baby car seat safely. Do you know that some hospitals won’t discharge a mom and new baby until they see the car seat? Fortunately, many kinds of infant car seats exist in the market.

The easiest baby car seat to utilize is the kind that has a base that is buckled securely to the seat. This car seat itself can be lifted off and carried around by the handle. This is will be convenient to you because the baby can be carried to and from the house or wherever the child is going while strapped into the seat. These infant seats usually will only be safe for transporting babies facing backward, until the age of one year. When the baby is 18 pounds, and at least one year old, it is time for a forward-facing baby car seat. Plus, by the time the baby is that old, and weighs 18 pounds, he will be too heavy to lug around that way! You will want to get the baby out of the baby seat, and carry him, or he may even be walking by then!

The next kind of baby car seat is called a convertible car seat. Many of these baby car seats can be placed in the backward-facing position for when babies grow out of their infant seats, but are not yet old enough, or at a heavy enough weight to sit facing forward. Then, the convertible baby car seat can be turned to face forward, and will seat the baby until the baby is 40 pounds or more. These have a 5-point harness that is buckled at the bottom and the chest.

Once the baby reaches 40 pounds, he will move to a booster seat. This seat is a small base that keeps the child secure, while allowing him to use the regular seat belt. The child can usually sit in this type of car seat until he weighs 80 pounds!

As a rule of thumb, babies and children below the age of twelve are supposed to be seated behind, not in the front seat. The safest place is the center of the back seat. This is because studies show that air bags in the front seat may cause injuries to children. So if possible, never allow a child to be seated in front.

      In Canada, it is a law to have your carseats tethered. Yes, GM will install one tether anchor at no charge…and there is no charge for the hardware. You need to contact your local dealership and they will install it for you. Since it is required in Canada, they MAY be able to install more at no charge.

      Is it a Chrysler Town and Country? You can have TA’s installed outboard, but not in the center and you can have them at all seating locations in the 3rd row. The part number is 05017529AA. That part no. is for all of the seating locations.

      Refer to Technical Service Bulletin 23-08-00 Revision A for details. It is only with certain older models.

During the first week of your baby’s life, your breasts will produce colostrum for them to drink.  Colostrum is rich in antibodies and aids the baby’s immune system.  It also helps him pass his first bowel movement, which is called meconium.  Meconium is black and tarry looking and is in the first few diapers after birth.  Then he begins to transition to a brown substance and after your milk comes in, it becomes a yellow, mustardy stool that is loose and watery.  Bottle-fed baby’s pass firmer, tannish stools than breastfed baby’s.  

After 24-48 hours after birth, your baby will start having wet diapers that will increase to two or three a day.  

While your baby drinks colostrum and then milk, you should listen for a pattern of “suck, suck, suck, swallow.”  This pattern will be rhythmic and there should be no “clicking” noises.  The “clicking” sound can indicate that your baby is not properly latched on and may not be getting enough milk from you.  If you start to hear this, you need to unlatch him and then reattach him.  If you continue to hear this sound after reattaching him several times, then you may want to consult a lactation consultant or your pediatrician.  

After the first week of life, you should see 6-8 wet diapers each day and at least 3 bowel movements a day.  His urine should be clear and he should become more alert with each passing day.  Your baby should also be gaining weight and growing, as this is the surest way to tell that they are getting enough nutrition.  If you have two days in a row that deviates from the above indicators, then you should call your pediatrician immediately.
