How to Care your New Born Baby

Author: bruce bud

Few newborns look picture perfect at birth. They have many variations in normal appearance – from color of the skin to its texture to the shape of the head. Some of these differences are just temporary, part of the physical adjustments a baby goes through. Mentally, mostly all babies are awake and alert during the first few hours after birth.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSO5PwWWB3RlphJwJntCXt

A newborn’s body is extremely vulnerable to injury. Soft flesh instead of muscles and cartilages instead of bones is what constitute a baby’s body. A newborn requires body care due to these simple reasons. Certain parts of a newborn’s body require extra care than others. These are mentioned below:

Baby’s Skull

Baby’s skull does not get fully formed till a long time. Complete formation time varies from child to child. Due to this, cradle cap is a harmless condition that often occurs in newborns. Severity levels also differ from mild; where scalp may turn flaky and produce dandruff, to severe; where scalp turns yellowish and scaly leading to crusty patches.

Easiest way to overcome this is to rub in mild vegetable oil or olive oil into a baby’s scalp at least twice a week. Oil must be allowed to stay for about 15 minutes. Use a soft comb to remove the flaky skin and a mild shampoo to keep the scalp clean.

Baby’s Fingernails

A baby’s fingernails can be his own enemy. Soft in appearance and definitely softer than your fingernails, these can be sharp nevertheless. If allowed to grow unchecked, these can be harmful for the baby. An active baby while flailing his arms can easily scratch his face or other parts of body.

A new mother’s apprehensions are quite understandable, but trimming your baby’s fingernails is not going to rip them off from the roots. A baby’s fingernails are soft and can be trimmed by biting also. If you find the idea of “biting to trim” a bit too much to handle, you can invest in baby clippers that are meant to provide extra care while trimming.

Baby’s Genitalia

The vaginal area of a baby girl needs to be wiped with a moist clean cloth during diapering and bathing, taking care to wipe from front to back to avoid transferring bacteria from the anus to the vagina. Genital area of a newborn baby boy also requires frequent cleaning to avoid diaper rashes.

  7. QUESTION:
My baby pulled over a pitcher of hot water on himself. What should I do?
I had boiled some water for his bottles. He is 10 months old and still drinks formula…so I still boil his water for safety. Anyway, I had boiled the water and put it away in the refrigerator. My @$$hole husband came into the kitchen and was arguing about dinner. He opened the refrigerator and was looking for something to eat. I came over to to where he was an threw out some leftovers. While he was standing there arguing about dinner and I was getting a plate out the baby crawled into the kitchen and grabbed the handle to the water pitcher. The water had been in the fridge for about 5 minutes and when it wasted on him he screamed. I scooped him up and was kicking my foot at the same time because the water had wasted on me, too.

I thought all was well after we dried him off. There were no scaldings or burn marks. So I thought everything was cool. I waited a little bit longer (like 45 minutes) before taking off the diaper (because he was afraid and was holding on to me). Right down front was a small amount of swelling and a couple of blisters.

He has been up playing and is generally in a good mood. He doesn’t act as if he is in pain or anything. I have been watching him closely to ensure he is okay. But I need to know what to do. Can I treat this at home or should I go over to the emergency room even though this happened a couple of hours ago?

Oh my husband is nonchalant and acting as if he doesn’t care. HE is trying to make it like it is all my fault. This is not a time to point fingers…it is BOTH of our faults because we were too busy arguing to even notice when he crawled between us.

    • ANSWER:
if he seems to be okay..and not in pain i would suggest just watching it for a while and see if it gets any worse. i would also suggest maybe just apply a cool wash cloth to the area and maybe a little cream.

  8. QUESTION:
My baby pulled over a pitcher of hot water on himself. I took him to the emergency room and they took pictures?
This is an update to the previous post below. I took him to the emergency room and they took pictures of him and gave him some ointment and gauzes. He has to go see his regular pediatrician Monday.

Why would they take pictures of him injury? Am i going to jail? Are they going to take my kids? It was an accident!!

    • ANSWER:
They have to do this. They are documenting what happened because a 10 month old can’t tell them. They would be bad doctors if they didn’t. I know it’s easy to become defensive about this. My daughter got bumps on her bottom and they thought they were warts. They recorded this info (they weren’t warts in the end…they went away with diaper cream.) I was upset at first, when babies have warts in that region it’s a sign of sexual abuse. But at the same time, I’m glad there are people out there looking out for those who can’t defend themselves. CPS might be contacted, but I doubt there will be an investigation of any kind. CPS gets many reports (I’m a teacher and I’m obligated to report anything my kids say.) Now if something else happenes they may come interview you and ask about what happened. CPS isn’t wanting to take kids out of homes, just those that are truely hurting their kids. They know accidents happen. They know the doctors are obligated to report. My little cousin had her hand on the ironing board when her grandma was ironing. The got a pretty bad burn and they took her to the ER. They also took pictures but wrote down what Grandma had said. There wasn’t an investigation.

Free Baby Stuff Through Mail

Before you can begin to receive free baby stuff through mail there is a lot that you need to do. You will have to go to the right websites and apply for them. Be careful because some websites that are visited could be a scam.

In order for you to set up an account so you can receive these kind of items it is required for you to fill out an application. Your phone number, address, and email will need to be included. When you give them your email address, companies will send you print out coupons for your usage when purchasing their items if you have to buy them.

You will be able to order anything that you want for your infant, this will all depend on what you are applying for. Sometime when you want to receive certain items they will send you the total opposite. You need to know how to handle this type of situation if it was to occur. The owner of the website or company should be contacted immediately.

Diapers, wipes, formula and much more will be available for you and your infant. Be sure to test it out first before you start to use it on your child. Some children’s skin are sensitive and they are all different. You should know what type of product will affect your child and which products will not.

Some products you request for can be for toddlers or infants. Most of them are the same if you want to use it on both. The others that you get could be for sensitive skin or soft skin, if your child do not have sensitive skin you should not use that kind of product on their body.

If you are in that type of situation you should observe carefully, they could tell you it is free but when you try getting the item they charge you for it. You do not have to go to the store and try buying your baby what they are in need for, just put it in online and receive it without them charging you.

Safety Gates For Babies

What To Be Aware Of With Safety Gates For Stairs

Author: Rick Robertson

Having a baby gate at the top of the stairs in your home is critically important. Thousands of unfortunate accidents happen every year due to a baby or toddler falling down the stairs. And the fact is, a simple safety gate is all it takes to prevent such a tragedy. Here’s a quick overview of what you should be aware of in getting a gate set up.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to buy the right type of gate for your particular needs. What I mean is, when it comes to steps, you want to be sure and get one that is permanently mounted to the wall. Pressure mounted gates won’t hold up in the way a hardware mounted gate will.

Many of the accidents that happen occur because a toddler was able to push the gate over and because of simple laws of gravity, went right down on top of it. So be sure you get yourself a permanent mount like a KidCo Configure or one like a Cardinal Gates Stairway Gate. Another popular choice is the Evenflo Top Of Stair Plus Gate.

Next is the installation. You really need to install the hardware into a stud in the wall. I’ve seen many folks who have simply tried putting a screw into the drywall and had it quickly pull out once it was used. Even if it doesn’t immediately pull loose, any shaking or slamming of the gate will cause it to come out.

Most manufacturers either include an installation kit with the gate, or offer a mounting kit for a small additional charge. It’s well worth it to go ahead and get the kit in most cases. Naturally, if you are handyman, or woman, and can tackle this with ease, the kit isn’t necessary. But for most of us it will make life much easier.

Install kits run in the area of – and make the installation time much lower as well.

Another tip in choosing safety gates for stairs is to be sure and avoid the retractable mesh types. These are great for doors and halls, but they can give way around the stairs. My suggestion is to stick with one made of wood or metal.

Use these tips in making the right choice in a gate for your home. A properly installed gate will give you much needed peace of mind in knowing you’ve eliminated the chances of your child having an accident around the stairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Is it easy to install baby safety gates?
I am moving into a house at the end of the month and it has 2 stairwells. So I would need to install 4 baby safety gates for my 15 month old’s protection. Are they easy to install or should I get someone to do it?

    • ANSWER:
It’s not difficult at all for a DIY, with even the most modest tools. The issue might extend a bit farther however. In your case spend for the best. Certainly dollar amounts should never be equated to child safety. While I have installed some for other than family members; it is a MAJOR liability issue. Certainly as a DIY your concerns are as valid; but in your case also is it valid for a contractor to not strictly want to take on the safety of YOUR child…after the fact; and possibly for years.

Instructions are pretty clear with any quality product; and should be followed. Not only do you want the gate secured in a locking system; TOP AND BOTTOM; but also one with some fabrication that disallows climbing over; and/.or secured protrusions; etc.

A tenacious child will continue to seek out ways to overcome a gate; and obviously any child young enough to NOT GET IT; should be pretty constantly monitored anyway.

  8. QUESTION:
Baby Safety gate for against banister?
I am looking for a GOOD! safety gate that I can use for my stairs, I have a banister so it would have to go against that, I would prefer to have one that DOESNT ruin the banister nd wall, but I want to make sure that if my son pushes against it, it wont fall over.
It needs to be able to open because I cant climb over top of it

    thank you so much!!

    • ANSWER:
At the top of stairs, a pressure-closed gate is not adequate. It will eventually given way, leading to a big tumble down the stairs. There are gates with “gate door” in them, with a handle to lift while pushing a release button. If your stairway is not near standard size, (ours is 23″, no gate fits), there is a gate which is kind of like a window shade turned sideways, with a latch to keep it in place. Pricey, but it did work well.

Toddler Car Seat Safety "different Types and Installation Tips"

Author: angela martinez

Your doctor will stress that your child should always ride in a safety car seat, but what’s best for my child. Well all situation are different and not every car seat will work for every child. So here are some tips and facts about the different types of car seats that might help you in buying the best car seat. Once your child is at least 1 year old and weighs at least 20 pounds, she can ride forward facing in her car seat. Although, studies show that it is still safer for her to ride rear facing for as long as she can comfortably do so.

There are 5 types of car safety seats that can be used forward facing.

1. Convertible seats are ones that can be used rear facing or forward facing.

2. Forward facing toddler seats can only be used forward facing with a harness. These are for children who weigh up to 80 pound. You must check the specifications on each model, because some can only be used up to 40 pounds.

3. There are car seats that can be used forward facing or as a booster. These are called a combination forward facing/booster seat. These car seats can be used forward facing for children weighing up to 40 to 65 pounds, depending on the model. They can be used as a booster car seat without the harness for children weighing up to 80 to 100 pounds.

4. Some vehicles are made with forward facing car seats built right in. Read your vehicle owner’s manual to find out the weight and height limits for your particular vehicle. They will vary.

5. Travel vests are a pretty new product on the market. They are a safe alternative for forward facing child car seats. Travel vests can be useful when you have a vehicle with only lap seat belts in the back seat. They are great to move from vehicle to vehicle, so you do not have to take your car seat in and out. If you have a small car, they don’t take up much room. Travel vests are used for large toddlers who can no longer fit in a traditional car safety seat or for children who just simply will not stay in their car seat. They can be used for children between 20 pounds all the way up to 168 pounds.

Installation tips for forward-facing seats

1. The car safety seat must be installed tightly in the car. The harness should fit snug against your child.

2. When rear facing, the shoulder straps must be in the slot at or below your child’s shoulders. To switch a convertible seat to forward facing, you must move the shoulder straps to the slots at or above your child’s shoulders.

3. With some car seats you may have to adjust the angle of the seat to recline.

4. Vehicles made after 2002 should come with the LATCH system. This is used to secure car safety seats. If you have this, it should be used. It keeps the car seat more secure than an ordinary seat belt. Check your owners manual for your vehicle to find out where your tether anchors are located in your car. Use your manual for you particular safety car seat to learn how to use this system with your car seat.

Always use your manual and your car seats specification when using and installing it. Remember, even though you think your little one is big enough to ride with just a seat belt, statistics show they are not. Even children from the age of 4 to 8 years should be in a booster seat. So keep your child safe and use a safety seat.

I am looking into the Combi Zeus Convertible Car Seat but also want info on other infant seats. I have read recalls where some detached from the base during accidents.

    • ANSWER:
I use both the government site and Consumer Reports. You might have to join Consumer Reports online to use theirs but not sure.

      www. consumerreports.com

The government site is free. They have an “ease of use” rating on over 78 seats.

      http://www.nhtsa.gov/

Click on their “child safety seat” section on the left.

They also show you where you can get the seat put in for you. They do a great job! I recommend that!

  3. QUESTION:
What are the rules and regulations regarding car seat safety in NJ if I want to take a 6month old in a cab/bus
I want to know all about the laws in NJ if I want to carry a 6 month old baby in a taxi. I read somewhere that New York taxis are exempt from car seat laws and you can carry the infant/toddler on your lap but what about NJ. Where can I find the official information

    • ANSWER:
      Law in NJ:

      http://www.inventiveparent.com/lawsreg2.htm#New%20Jersey

It says seats are required in all vehicles except public buses. So the 6 months old needs a seat. The bigger issue, however, is that a 6 month old baby needs a car seat in EVERY vehicle for EVERY trip no matter how long or short, no matter what state. That baby will be hurt just as much in a taxi as in your personal vehicle. Is it convenient? Not particular. But I’ll be achingly blunt – how convenient would a funeral for a baby be? The laws of physics do not suddenly change just b/c baby is riding in a taxi rather than a family SUV or sedan. And a 6 month old not in a car seat is a death waiting to happen.

So – required by law in NJ, not in NY, though what a stupid rule. :(

Best bet? Get a seat that travels well, is light weight and/or installs easily. At the least expensive end of the spectrum is the Cosco Scenera, at Walmart/Target/Kmart. Lightweight, generally installs easily. Its major benefit is that is rear faces to 35lbs, very important since kids should stay rear facing as long as possible. Turning kids forward at 20lbs/1year is an outdated practice that could cost you your child’s life!
1)A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 5 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age.
2)A child’s vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone.
3)Current research suggests that children under the age of two years are 75 percent less likely to die or be seriously injured when they are riding rear facing.
4)In a recent article from Injury Prevention, it was found that the odds of severe injury to forward facing children age 12-23 months old was 5.32 times higher than a rear facing child. (Car Safety Seats For Children: Rear Facing For Best Protection; Injury Prevention 2007; 13:398-402.)

The Scenera doesn’t last very long once the child outgrows it rear facing, most kids outgrow it forward facing by 2-3 years, but for its still a great deal.

The Britax Marathon is the easiest car seat to install, but more pricey (Target has them on sale this week for 9) and heavier to tote around. But definitely the easiest which makes it more convenient. I could get ours in any car in under 2 minutes forward facing, 5 minutes for rear facing. Very simple. Get a Traveling Toddler Travelmate or GoGoKidz to attach to it to make it a little easier to tote around since its heavier.

Either way – baby needs a seat everywhere you go. Including on airplanes!

  4. QUESTION:
What is the best convertible car seat? Cost, Safety, Accessibility? ?
I can’t afford a 0 car seat but he is outgrowing his rear facing seat. What is the best dollar for dollar convertible seat without risking safety?

    • ANSWER:
There are a lot on the market but Britax rates highest among safety according to Consumer Reports. With that means you pay more $$. But think of it. Some Britax models go up to 65 pounds…that means your son will be in for a LONG time. What seems like a lot of money now actually may save you some money in the long run when you think of safety, comfort, durability, etc. Britax also ranks high with safety features and ease of use (harnessing, installation). There is a Cosco model too which is high on consumer reports and is alot cheaper. Good luck in your search.

  5. QUESTION:
What is the best car seat (safety)on the market for babies 25 pounds and over?
I’ve been finding lots of articles praising the Graco Nautilus. Just wondering what other people have found?

    • ANSWER:
I have found the Britax carseats to be some of the safest out there.
I opted for the True Fit by first years. Same safety ratings, my son is comfortable and it was easier on my wallet.
Also the Alpha and Omega’s as supposed to be really good too!
But… any car seat on the road needs to go through the same road tests as all other car seats and pass the same safety inspections.
So find a car seat that works for you, fits in your car and fits your child well! (fitting your budget might be a concern too!)

  6. QUESTION:
Is a teleprompter the allegorical equivalent of a child-safety car seat?
Children under a certain size & weight require a car seat to keep them safe in a crash.

Is a teleprompter needed for presidents with smaller experience and knowledge to keep them safe in an economic crash.

  7. QUESTION:
What is the best car seat for safety reasons, and that will last a long time (grow with baby)?
Just turned one year, 24lbs, around 31-32″ tall??? Money is no object but my car only has seat belts no latches.
Must be easy to install and take out due to two different vehicles it will go in, and able to fit in small cars like a 99 kia sportage.

If you have a Safety 1st seat let me know your opinions please! Thank you!

Window Guards for your Home Safety

Author: Stuart Michael M

Why do you need window guards? This is a frequently asked question by most of the people as they are not sure of its importance. The main intention of having this guard is to prevent your children from falling off from the house window. At the same time, it can be utilized to prevent burglars or intruders breaking into your home. This is useful especially when you are away from home or on vacations.

There are many types of window guards available in the market depending on your preferences and budgets. Some people prefer to have normal window guards and some may opt for the invisible type to make their home looks nice.

There are also lots of designs available as well. For example, some people prefer to have flowery design, artistic design or just a simple design. It depends very much on your house theme. There are also several colors for you to choose from. Some people prefer light color while some prefer dark color. Dark brown or black color frame will make your house looks unique and elegant.

There prices for this window frame ranges from to 0 depending on the materials and the sizes required. If you opt for a nice design to make your home looks beauty and cozier, then you might have to fork out more money. Also, do check on the type of locking mechanism needed. This is important to lock the window guards at all times.

Apart from this, it is advisable for you to install alarm system to your window guards. Whenever, there’s someone who is trying to break into your house, the sensor will be triggered. Then, your alarm system will be activated to alert the people around that someone is trying to get into your house without permission.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
How do you install child window guards with window air conditioners?
I’m trying to install an air conditioner in a window which also has to have child safety window guards. To start I’m properly installing the air conditioner with a good bracket, but the window is 48 inches wide (and the AC is 18 inches wide) so the rest of the window isn’t guarded. It is a very shallow window, only about 3 inches from the start of the windowsill on the inside to the outside of the frame. Am I stuck with putting plywood in the rest of the window? I’d like to be able to take it out of the window for the winter.

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
there are safety window locks that screw anywhere on to a window frame, go to any local hardware store and they should carry them ( very effective and easy to install )

  2. QUESTION:
    Window guards?
Has anyone ever used these? Are they reliable? I am planning on getting a few for my windows at home. We live on the third floor of an apartment building and I just don’t feel my daughter is safe (she’s 2). Just asking for your reviews on these things. Is there a certain kind I should get…and so on. Thanks!!
My windows open up and down.

    • ANSWER:
Do your windows open side to side or up and down? I had guards on side to side windows in a second story apartment I used to live in. They worked really well, the window could only open a few inches and then stopped. I don’t have any experience with the up down kind, but I have an idea for something that would work. You can go to Walmart and get those alarms that sound when the magnetic force is broken. Then open the window to the height you don’t want it to go past and set the alarm to set if that distance is broken (just turn it off when you want the window closed.

I can’t recommend a brand because the ones I had on my windows were a built in part of the window, but I’m sure that if you go to Home Depot or Lowes those guys can help you with exactly what you need.

  3. QUESTION:
Can you safely make your own window guards to prevent falls?
Now that we have a 2 story I want to get some window guards to prevent my son from falling out.
I will need about 10 for the upstairs and they are a piece. Is it safe to have some made cheaper?
Thats a good idea. I’ll buy one and have it copied b/c we do need to be able to open them in case of emergency.
I am a HUGE fresh air person, I open my windows in the dead of winter for 20 mins to let it in. Im odd I know

    • ANSWER:
not sure how old your son is, but you might consider just locking the windows closed (which should keep kids out for quite some time, and probably until they’re smart enough not to lean out a second story window), and if they need to be open for some reason, just cracking them from the top instead of opening them from the bottom. if you really do get window guards, make sure they’re easy for an adult or older child to undo, because it can also be a dangerous hazard not to be able to get out in a fire or something.

if you’ve found a model that lets an adult open it quickly but keeps a young child safe, I can’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be able to duplicate the way it’s made but do it yourself more cheaply.

  4. QUESTION:
How can I report someone for not having window guards?
    Hello All,

I have a neighbor who has 3 young kids visiting his apartment often BUT he does not have window guards installed on his 3rd floor apartment windows.

Can I report this? If so, to whom?

    Thanks in advance!
We have a language barrier. I shouldn’t have to do the Landlord’s job for him. The Landlord is well aware that children go and visit him often.

    • ANSWER:
      Your neighbour?
I suggest you start with him first.

  5. QUESTION:
Can I report someone for not having window guards installed?
    Hello All,

I have a neighbor who has 3 young kids visiting his apartment often BUT he does not have window guards installed on his 3rd floor apartment windows.

Can I report this? If so, to whom?

    Thanks in advance!

Additional Info – We have a language barrier. I don’t think that I should do the Landlord’s job for him. The Landlord is well aware that these children visit him often.

    • ANSWER:
It’s always best to follow courteous procedures. First, you should find out whether your local building code requires window guards when there are children. If so, tell the landlord that the condition is unsafe and that code requires guards. Then call Code Enforcement if it’s not corrected.
If your local code doesn’t require building codes, then you should mind your own business.

  6. QUESTION:
    window guards ?
I just found an artictial that said there are more than 12 deaths a year due to small children (-5)falling out of windows .. Do you use them ? Would you think to get them if you just read that artical and you have a 19 month old ?

    • ANSWER:
I don’t know exactly what a window guard is like you are talking about, but yes, that is something I’ve worried about with my own daughter. We live in a 2nd floor apt, and she loves to look out the windows. In the living room where she is most, I finally put one of those small screens from Walmart that you usually use in windows that don’t have screens on the outside. It is a big, heavy window, and just having something small propping it up worried me, all I could imagine was it falling on her when she was leaning under it, or her pushing against the outside screen. So like I said, I started putting the smaller screen in the window when it is open. That way it’s held in tight, I know the window itself will stay in place and not fall down, and then my daughter can’t lean into the outside screen and possibly fall out. This way there’s some sort of barrier there so it’s definitely more safe.

  7. QUESTION:
How much does it cost to get iron window guards installed?

    • ANSWER:
iron window gaurds are custom made. as window size varies, you will need to find a business that specializes in this. i would imagine that the bigger the window, the more it would cost. sorry, that answer is pretty vague.

  8. QUESTION:

It’s important to make sure your baby nice and snug to be warm this winter, But it’s also important to know when  coats and blankets should come off otherwise the child would be overheated and won’t feel the benefit of them when its time to take a trip out.

Small babies are not able to regulate their own body heat like we can. a baby doesn’t have the ability to take of a layer off clothes when feeling hot or to add a layer when cold that is why it is up to us as parents/carers to keep an eye on babies temperature to asure they are snug and do not get overheated or cold. You don’t have to undress a baby to tell how there temperature is. you may be able to tell by the baby crying when he’s too hot, though some babies just fall asleep, which can be extremly dangerous as you won’t know if he is tired or passed out due to heat exhaution.

most people feel a babies hands and feet to determain weather the child is cold but this isn’t the case as it is not accurate at all as these are usually colder than the body anyway. To test a babies temperature place the back of your hand on his chest or the back of his neck. If these feel cool then you are fine, but if they feel very cold or too warm, act accordingly to prevent them from overheating or being too cold.

some babies don’t like to wear a big bulky winter coat so you could  use layers like soft sleepsuits and jumpers  to keep them warm you may find that  blankets are a more flexible to keeping a baby warm or cool,  you might find that a baby finds fleecey baby clothes lighter and easier to move in, try not to make your baby uncomfortable but you need to make sure there ears are covered, especially if there is a cold wind buy light cotton hats to go under the coat hood.Do not use a scarf on a baby or very young child as this is a choking hazard!!

It is imortant to adjust your baby’s outside clothing when you go inside anywhere. A baby can suffer if it is unable to adjust to the temperatures so removing a layer or blankets and coat is essential when going inside shopping, taxi’s,cars, buses, cafe’s etc even though it may seem a pain I mean your only nipping in a shop for 10 minutes, even if your baby is asleep. It will make alot of a difference in making sure your child’s temperature is kept stable, raincovers are just as important to remove as well as the coat and blankets.

a good buy for a baby i found was the two piece pram suits and cosy toes, I could unwrap my child without hardly disturbing him.
